St Mark’s Bourne End
Simon Dust was appointed as the Associate Minister for St Mark’s, Bourne End in June 2024 to seek to revitalise the church and reach out to the village of Bourne End. Simon and his wife Debbie have started a new afternoon service and a Missional Community and have seen new people joining the church, new people coming to faith and new connections with local schools and community groups. They have started new children’s groups in January this year and are seeing new families joining the church.
Objectives:
- Grow the local church of St Mark’s.
- Reach out to the local community through growing connections with the local schools and community groups.
- Build strong outreach programmes using Alpha and mission training.
- Equip the church to be disciples of Jesus Christ and to uphold orthodox biblical teaching.
- Develop strong discipleship pathways through Missional Communities.
- Raise up new leaders.
- Revitalise the church buildings to be welcoming and supportive of the new missional vision.
OGST wants to support them with a grant of £10,000 per year for three years and we are seeking funding for this.
